What unfolds is more than a camping trip. Over two days in the mountains, the group hikes, forages wild sage and mustard from the hillside, nearly drowns, learns to swim, builds fire, and sits under more stars than they have ever seen. Around the campfire at night, they talk honestly about what it means to be Black and Muslim in America.

The film weaves together intimate verité moments with reflective interviews that reveal a deeper history: the No Trespassing signs of the Jim Crow era that criminalized Black foraging, the transatlantic slave trade that severed generations from their wilderness literacy, and the prophetic tradition of seeking closeness to Allah through His creation. What emerges is a portrait of a community actively reclaiming something that was taken from them by simply showing up and going outside.
